Pashinyan: “We must move beyond the logic of conflict and learn to live in peace”
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan emphasized the importance of the joint statement on the Armenia-US TRIPP Implementation Framework, approved by the Armenian Foreign Minister and the US Secretary of State.
“Following the August 8, 2025 statement, this is another cornerstone declaration, addressing one of the most important issues in the peace process: the blockade of regional communications,” Pashinyan said at the cabinet sitting.
He highlighted that the statement’s significance lies in establishing peace through concrete, practical steps.
“It is now a reality. We must treat this newly established peace with care,” he stressed.
According to Pashinyan, Armenia as a state and its people as a society have not known what it is like living in peace.
“We are learning new things, step by step. Peace is entering our subconscious in small and slow steps, which is normal, because for 35 years we have been in a different logic, and now the logic is changing,” he said.
Nikol Pashinyan said that there is a huge amount of practical work to be done, and that actions must be taken as quickly as possible.
“First, these actions must be formalized through de jure agreements. We must begin work on projects, including establishing the TRIPP company in Armenia and determining operational routes. Preparation must start today,” he said.
Pashinyan noted that we need to move beyond the logic of conflict and enter into the logic of peace.
“New times are opening. In this new era, we must act in a new and more effective way to make the most of this historic opportunity for Armenia’s development, freedom, happiness, and well-being of our citizens,” he added.
