Samvel Karapetyan’s five economic steps are about people: Marianna Ghahramanyan

Marianna Ghahramanyan, spokesperson for the “Our Way” popular movement, wrote:

“Samvel Karapetyan’s five economic steps are about people.

They are about a person who wants to work but has no workplace. Three hundred thousand people will gain decent employment. This is not a promise – it is a program proposed by a person who has created jobs from scratch in Armenia and abroad. He will do it again, in his own way.

They are about a person burdened by excessive taxes – someone who wants to do business and grow, but whose enterprise closes because it pays more in taxes than it earns in income. Small businesses should pay zero percent tax.

They are about a person forced to choose between medicine and daily bread – about grandparents standing in pharmacies, or people sending lists of medicines with neighbors traveling to Georgia. Through the right policies, Samvel Karapetyan will ensure medicines become 20 percent more affordable for everyone.

They are about a farmer who works year-round in cold and heat, only to discard hard-earned harvests due to lack of sales opportunities. In villages, harvest sales must be guaranteed.

And they are about young people without homes. With state support, 20,000 young people can obtain affordable housing under state care.
