“Freedom to Ashot Minasyan, Vahagn Chakhalyan, and all political prisoners” – Abrahamyan visits those subjected to political persecution

“In Vardashen Penitentiary, I met with Ashot Minasyan, commander of the Sisakan detachment, and in Nubarashen Penitentiary, I met with Vahagn Chakhalyan,” Tigran Abarhamyan, a member of the National Assembly from the “I Have Honor” opposition faction stated.

Speaking about Chakhalyan, Abrahamyan noted that he remained steadfast. “Although he considers the actions against him illegal, unfair, and outside the framework of the law in every sense, he has already grown accustomed to such treatment by the regime,” he said.

According to Chakhalyan, Abrahamyan added, the ultimate outcome will be victory, the foundation of which must be the active and effective participation of all segments of society.

“The name Ashot Minasyan is incompatible with prison. While he says the political persecution against him was predictable, I personally cannot accept this reality in any way. Freedom to Ashot Minasyan, Vahagn Chakhalyan, and all political prisoners,” the opposition MP concluded.
