On January 29, Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos in Brussels.

The interlocutors discussed a broad range of issues related to the implementation of the Armenia-EU strategic agenda adopted in December of last year.

Particular attention was given to the agenda of the upcoming Armenia-EU summit scheduled to take place in Yerevan in May, as well as to high-level visits planned for the near future. Both sides emphasized their mutual commitment to advancing initiatives aimed at delivering new, tangible results.

The meeting also addressed the implementation of the “Resilience and Growth” program. In this context, the parties welcomed the EU Council’s decision, adopted on the same day, regarding the second phase of assistance to Armenia under the European Peace Facility.

Ararat Mirzoyan and Marta Kos further discussed ongoing efforts to strengthen democratic reforms and resilience. They also referred to programs aimed at developing connectivity and infrastructure within the framework of regional peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, along with other steps intended to further institutionalize peace.
