Archbishop Mikael expresses willingness to participate in today’s court hearing

The court hearing regarding the Primate of the Shirak Diocese, Archbishop Mikael, will take place today at the Criminal Court of Appeal.

Archbishop Mikael intends to participate in the hearing, Marine Farmanyan, a member of the Archbishop’s legal team, told Aysor.am.

“Archbishop Mikael has expressed his desire to participate in the court hearing,” the defense attorney said.

The archbishop is currently at the Izmirlian Medical Center, where he is undergoing rehabilitation following his first surgery and is preparing for a second operation.

“Today’s session will examine the appeal filed by the defense seeking acquittal, as well as the appeal filed by the prosecutors requesting an increased sentence,” Marine Farmanyan said.
