“Restrictions are strict: Narek is barred from communicating with the media,” Matevosyan says (video)

Narek Samsonyan and Vazgen Saghatelyan have been in custody for more than 102 days, Antifake.am editor Astghik Matevosyan told reporters.

She said both men have faced a difficult period over the past three months, particularly Samsonyan.

“He went on hunger strike, then had serious health problems and surgery. The only positive aspect is that given his condition, he will serve his sentence at home rather than in prison. Otherwise, there is nothing positive for a person who has not committed a criminal offense,” Matevosyan said.

She emphasized that the restrictions imposed on Samsonyan are very strict.

“As you have seen, Narek is prohibited from communicating with the media. He may communicate only with relatives – both those he lives with and those who live separately – as well as with his defense attorneys. If I am not mistaken, this detention measure will remain in force until April 10,” she said.
