Bonuses cannot be considered corruption – Anti-Corruption Committee chairman
Bonuses paid within the Anti-Corruption Committee cannot be regarded as corruption, the Committee’s chairman Artur Nahapetyan said in a conversation with journalists.
“There is an established procedure for awarding bonuses. They were distributed in accordance with that procedure and based on performance. Therefore, this was a process regulated by a legal act, and as a lawyer I do not see any elements of a corruption offense,” he stated.
Nahapetyan also confirmed that bonuses were paid within the Committee, adding that upcoming asset declarations will specify in detail the amounts received.
