Iran will act without red lines in a forced war – Shirgholami
“The international community must take a very firm stance against the aggression imposed on Iran and clearly distinguish between the aggressor and the victim,” Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Khalil Shirgholami said at a press conference in Yerevan, noting that Iran is capable of organizing its own self-defense.
“We do not need anyone to come and fight for us. However, the cooperation and support of our partners in this matter are important to us,” the ambassador stated.
Responding to a question about whether Iran has targeted countries hosting American military bases – and whether those states may therefore consider Iran an enemy – Shirgholami said:
“This is a war, and we did not choose it; it was imposed on us. It is impossible for military bases located in countries of the region to be used in various ways against Iran while we simply stand by and watch. This war concerns our survival – the very existence or non-existence of Iran. In this matter, we have no red lines in resisting all forces that support or in any way cooperate with the state that has carried out aggression against Iran.”
