We will make a decision to participate in the elections based on how effective our decision will be in the fight against the current rulers – Serzh Sargsyan

No reaction yet, but I’m surprised at the people who keep trying to pit impeachment against the election, Serzh Sargsyan, the third President of the Republic of Armenia, said in a conversation with journalists near the court building, referring to the statement issued by Supreme Body of the Republican Party of Armenia.

“Regardless of any circumstances, impeachment or not, there will be elections; they are regular elections that can be postponed only in rare cases. Our decision, our statement is about unity. We say impeachment is also a tool to resolve the crisis, let’s try. And if they say that it won’t happen, what should we try now, etc.? They are like the current rulers of today’s Armenia, who say, well, we are weak, we should give Azerbaijan whatever it wants. If they don’t want it, we will try to do it within our power,” he said.

Referring to the possible participation of the RPA in the upcoming elections, Serzh Sargsyan added: “If we are talking about our participation in the elections, then we will make a decision based on how effective our decision will be in the fight against the current rulers of Armenia.”
