The Church will overcome all trials: Father Maghakia (Video)

In the Armenian Apostolic Church, this Sunday was the 4th Sunday of Great Lent. During Lent, people abstain not only from certain foods but also from harmful habits, gossip, lying, blasphemy, and other sins. Repentance, prayer, and penance are the main conditions for receiving God’s healing and redemptive power.

The Church is going through trials these days, and during this period of Lent, it can be difficult not to despair or act wrongly. In an interview with Aysor.am, the spiritual pastor of the Holy Mother of God Church in Aragats, Reverend Father Maghakia Gevorgyan, notes that every Christian should never give in to despair, as despair is a sign of skepticism.

Every week, joint services are held in different churches. The clergy pray with the faithful Armenian people for the strength and fortification of the faith of the Armenian nation, the Armenian Church, and Christians.

Father Maghakia believes that the Church has already overcome many trials, and those it has not yet faced will also be overcome.

Abstinence is the best opportunity for a person to let go of negativity, reconnect with the strong faith within, and strive to live according to the will and word of God.
