Eight citizens from Israel returned to Armenia

Since February 28, a total of 10 Armenian citizens in Israel have applied to the Armenian Embassy for assistance in returning home, the spokesperson of the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.

On March 25, eight of them were transported to the Egyptian city of Sharm El-Sheikh by a special bus arranged by the Armenian Embassy in Israel. From there, they continued their journey to Yerevan on a direct flight.

Two other Armenian citizens have indicated that they plan to return to Armenia after completing their contractual obligations.

“At the Taba checkpoint on the Israel-Egypt border, the Armenian citizens were met by Armenia’s Ambassador and Consul in Egypt, who accompanied them to Sharm El-Sheikh International Airport and provided the necessary assistance.

The citizens departed for Armenia on the morning of March 26 on the Sharm El-Sheikh-Yerevan flight,” the MFA spokesperson stated.
