This is a call: Go to the polling stations on June 7 – Gohar Meloyan

“The draft amendment to the Electoral Code, posted last night, will most likely be adopted within hours,” said Gohar Meloyan, a board member of the “Strong Armenia” party, during an urgent press conference outside the National Assembly.

“We are here to inform our fellow citizens. Dear people of the Republic of Armenia, you must act and not allow this government to dictate you their will. We are already seeing a form of authoritarianism. In democratic countries, branches of government are independent,” Meloyan stated.

She added: “This is a call to action: go to the polling stations on June 7 and cast your vote. If you abstain, you are effectively giving your vote to the current government.”
