There is no threat in what I said: Nikol Pashinyan clarified his statement about Samvel Karapetyan (Video)
“There is no element of threat in what I said,” Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated at a briefing with reporters following the Government session, commenting on his earlier remarks about Samvel Karapetyan.
“The person you mentioned made promises to certain circles, including those outside Armenia, who have leverage over his property. It is clear that he will not fulfill the obligations he has undertaken, and it is also clear that all that property may be taken from him. I deeply regret this – I would not want any capital considered Armenian anywhere to be reduced to zero,” Pashinyan explained.
It should be recalled that a few days ago, Pashinyan said about Samvel Karapetyan:
“Samvel from Kaluga is urging me not to be afraid through his spokesmen. How can I not be afraid? I am afraid that by the end of the year, you could go from being a billionaire to a bum.”
In response, Narek Karapetyan remarked: “This is what happens when a bum at heart becomes prime minister.”
