Nazeli Baghdasaryan denies reports on transfer of Jiliza village

Prime Minister’s spokesperson Nazeli Baghdasaryan has denied reports circulated in several media outlets claiming that, within the framework of the demarcation process, Armenia has agreed to transfer the village of Jiliza in the enlarged Alaverdi community.

“Any statement, claim, or ‘information’ regarding an intention, plan, or agreement to transfer any part of the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia to another country cannot correspond to reality by its very nature.

Therefore, as before, we have denied, deny, and will continue to deny such publications, as they are fabricated,” the Prime Minister’s spokesperson wrote on her Facebook page.

Yesterday, during a speech at an event marking the establishment of the NSS Border Troops, Nikol Pashinyan stated that the finalization of border demarcation with Georgia is also on the agenda, adding that agreements have already been reached with Georgian partners on this issue.
