Anti-Corruption Committee: group arrested in election bribery and charity ban case

A group of individuals has been arrested within the framework of criminal proceedings related to election bribery and violations of the ban on charity, the Anti-Corruption Committee told Aysor.am, adding that further information will be provided if necessary.

Earlier, Aysor.am reported that law enforcement officers conducted searches at the Avan office of the “Strong Armenia” party, during which several citizens were detained.

A few days ago the Anti-Corruption Committee arrested and later charged Artur Avanesyan, known as Kandaz, head of the security team of the opposition “Strong Armenia” party and a participant in the Artsakh wars. He was detained for two months. Three other citizens were also arrested along with Avanesyan.

The Anti-Corruption Committee had previously released a recording allegedly related to the case.
