“I was a little nervous, but now I am sure we will have a stadium by the start of the 2029 U-20 Championship” – Nikol Pashinyan
The 2029 U-20 World Cup will be hosted by Armenia and Georgia.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at today’s government session that all necessary steps must be taken to ensure Armenian businesses benefit from the event and that infrastructure is properly prepared, including road conditions.
“I was a little nervous, but now I am sure that everything is realistic and that we will have a stadium by the start of the championship,” Pashinyan said.
Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan noted that more than 100,000 fans are expected to visit Armenia, with 30 matches to be held in the country.
