Zelensky’s visit to Armenia may strain ties with economic partner Russia – Narek Karapetyan
A potential visit by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to Armenia could further complicate relations with the country’s economic partner, Russia, according to Narek Karapetyan, a board member of the “Strong Armenia” party, speaking at a press conference today.
“Relations with Russia are already under strain. The current government must take responsibility for its geopolitical and foreign policy maneuvers, as each step carries potential consequences. We hope these will not negatively impact the economy, but it is essential to proceed cautiously, avoid miscalculations, and prevent the emergence of new crises,” he said.
Karapetyan added that there is a tangible risk and the situation should not be aggravated, particularly in light of the recent “effective” negotiations.
