If the Syunik gate is opened, Armenia will face big problems – Narek Karapetyan
The President of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan, made a historic statement that reflects the current situation in the country as a whole, said Narek Karapetyan, a member of the board of the Strong Armenia party, in an interview with “Syunyats Yerkir.”
“At the time, he stated that once we open the Syunik Gate, everything will be fine, and so on,” Karapetyan said.
“The gates that our ancestors closed through tremendous effort are now being reopened, and the border issue is being turned into an internal Armenian matter. We see a danger that the neighboring country has ambitions regarding Armenia’s territorial integrity,” said Narek Karapetyan.
He noted that Azerbaijanis will try to somehow influence Armenia’s internal life and gradually become a decisive factor in the country.
“This struggle is about preventing the opening of the Syunik Gate. Samvel Karapetyan has said this several times. When you do not open the gate, you avoid facing much bigger problems 20-30 years later,” Karapetyan said.
