“I have no comment” – Ararat Mirzoyan declines to comment on David Babayan’s message

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan declined to comment today on the message sent by former Artsakh Foreign Minister David Babayan from Azerbaijani captivity.

“I have no comment,” Mirzoyan told journalists.

David Babayan recently sent an audio message from a prison in Baku. In his message, he appealed to human rights defenders and advocates of international law, stating that both his appeal and the transcript of his final court speech had disappeared.

Babayan stressed that the “trial” in the Baku court had been conducted with numerous violations and called on the international community to raise its voice within international institutions in order to restore justice.

He also spoke about the treatment of him and the other Armenian prisoners held in Baku, as well as the conditions of their captivity.
