Voting has ended: Polling stations closed across Armenia

Today, the Republic of Armenia held its regular parliamentary elections. As of 20:00, all 2,005 polling stations, which opened at 08:00, have been closed.

The vote-counting process will now begin.

According to data published by the Central Election Commission, the total number of eligible voters is 2,485,851.

As of 17:00, 1,224,957 citizens, or 48.92% of eligible voters, had participated in the elections, according to the Central Election Commission.

The highest turnout was recorded in the Syunik Province, where 59,215 voters cast their ballots, representing 55.36% of eligible voters. The lowest turnout was recorded in Armavir Province, with 101,408 voters participating, or 44.80%.

For comparison, voter turnout in the previous parliamentary elections held in June 2021 stood at 38.17% as of 17:00.

A total of 18 political forces are participating in the June 7 National Assembly elections: 16 parties and 2 electoral blocs.
