Strong Armenia is working to clarify the true picture of the voters’ will and will present its next steps – spokesperson

The spokesperson of the Strong Armenia party, Marianna Ghahramanyan, has issued a statement.

“Throughout the entire election process, the Strong Armenia bloc operated under conditions of unprecedented and large-scale pressure and persecution organized by the government system.

The pre-election period was marked by targeted actions against our leader, candidates, supporters, and teammates, as well as mass unlawful detentions and criminal prosecutions aimed at restricting political competition and influencing the free expression of voters’ will.

On election day itself, administrative resources were widely used, involving state and municipal mechanisms, in an attempt to predetermine the outcome of the elections. Numerous electoral violations were recorded throughout the day, with reports received from across the country.

These developments could not but have had an impact on the electoral process and its results.

In addition, an unprecedented situation occurred: before the Central Election Commission had processed the results from all polling stations, Nikol Pashinyan announced ‘victory and the formation of sole power,’ which constituted a direct signal and instruction to the CEC.

Under these circumstances, the published figures cannot reflect the true picture and cannot be accepted without thorough examination and legal and political assessment.

The central headquarters of the Strong Armenia bloc is currently engaged in analyzing the situation and clarifying the true picture of the voters’ expression of will, after which we will present our position and further steps.”
