Rosselkhoznadzor continues to monitor agricultural products exported from Armenia to Russia

Rosselkhoznadzor is conducting monthly monitoring of agricultural products entering the Russian market from Armenia, the agency’s head Sergey Dankvert told TASS on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

“We are currently monitoring products entering the Russian market on a monthly basis. We carry out monitoring and analysis. If an increase in violations is recorded for a specific product within a month, our partners enter into consultations,” Dankvert said in response to a question regarding imports from Armenia.

Starting May 30, Rosselkhoznadzor introduced temporary restrictions on the import of fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, leafy greens, and strawberries from Armenia to Russia. Since June 2, similar restrictions have been imposed on cherries, sour cherries, apricots, peaches, plums, nectarines, and grapes. In addition, beginning June 3, the import of celery, eggplants, potatoes, and dried fruits from Armenia has also been restricted.
