Only an idiot can think I would justify someone who consciously led Armenia to capitulation, says Serzh Sargsyan (Video)

Today, journalists asked the third President of the Republic of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, when Armenia will become the country Andranik Margaryan dreamed of, to which Sargsyan responded: “We’ll see.”

Referring to criticism of his recent statements on elections, Sargsyan said his remarks were made in the context of constitutional amendments and should be understood within that framework.

“People who manipulate my words either did not understand what I said or are idiots, because only an idiot can think that I can justify someone who consciously led the Republic of Armenia to capitulation, who surrendered my homeland, who attacked my church, and who left the territories of my country under the capitulation of the enemy. And what happens, after all this, he is guilty only for running for a third term,” he said.

The former president declined to answer further questions, stating that he had already addressed all issues in previous days.
