Avetik, Archbishop Bagrat, and the rest of the detainees are fighting to preserve the national state

The other day, we were filming an interview with Archbishop Bagrat. While the equipment was being set up, I caught myself thinking that, out of the five people in the room, three were individuals who had been illegally imprisoned and were still under restrictions, wrote Turkologist Varuzhan Geghamyan:

“Then, during the filming, we recalled other political prisoners and said that in the three days between the recording and the interview airing, more people could become political prisoners.

Unfortunately, we were not mistaken.

Yesterday, Avetik Chalabyan, one of the leaders of ‘HayaQve,’ was illegally arrested in another fabricated case. Regardless of political views, we should not allow political prisoners to exist in Armenia, especially remembering that Avetik, Archbishop Bagrat, and the dozens and hundreds of other detained individuals are fighting to preserve the national state, prevent the surrender of land, and build a strong and developed Armenia.
