Those who question the belonging of Tigranashen are committing a crime under Article 422 of the Criminal Code – Mesrop Arakelyan

Mesrop Arakelyan, co-founder of the “Land to Live” party, wrote on his Facebook page:

“All those who question the belonging of Tigranashen are committing a crime under Article 422 of the Criminal Code.

A week ago, the government initiated an amendment to the RA Law ‘On Administrative-Territorial Division of the Republic of Armenia,’ under which the communities of Ararat and Vedi are being merged, including the village of Tigranashen. In other words, the belonging of Tigranashen to the Republic of Armenia is already enshrined in law, and this amendment further reaffirms it under the current government.

Therefore, all those who question or discuss the belonging of Tigranashen are committing a crime under Article 422 of the Criminal Code. Please, if you have noticed such statements, send them to me so that I can forward them to law enforcement.”
