Pashinyan meets with EU ambassadors, thanks them for their assessments of the elections

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received the ambassadors of the European Union member states accredited to Armenia. Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Vasilis Maragos, also attended the meeting.

Ambassador Maragos congratulated Prime Minister Pashinyan on the results of Armenia’s parliamentary elections held on June 7, 2026. He reaffirmed the European Union’s readiness to continue close cooperation with Armenia in support of democratic values, stability, and development.

Prime Minister Pashinyan thanked the European Union and its member states for their assessments and congratulations following the elections. He emphasized the importance of the EU’s continued support for Armenia’s democratic processes and reform agenda.

The meeting also covered issues related to the Armenia-EU cooperation agenda. The sides exchanged views on ongoing reforms, strengthening the rule of law, economic cooperation, infrastructure development, energy resilience, as well as regional stability and the peace process.

They also discussed steps to further deepen the Armenia-EU partnership. Both sides stressed the importance of maintaining high-level political dialogue and expanding cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.
