Document of 30 points prepared to be delivered to Parliament

Since January 2010 Armenia’s Standing Committee on state and law issues has been starting the working session with focus on the March 1-2 2008 Clashes, announced Committee’s member, Deputy and member of the Republican Party of Armenia, Hovhannes Sahakian.

He said the Committee had already prepared a document, containing 30 points, to be delivered to Armenian government, which is responsible for the document’s implementation. The document has notations on raising the educational level of police’s staff, on bringing it into line with the international standards, and reforming of the public justice sector, said Hovhannes Sahakian denying answering in details which points are at high-priority.

It’s worth mentioning that Armenia’s government has to deliver to PACE a schedule for future steps and reforms in accordance with the Standing Committee Final Report on March 1-2 2008 Clashes. The Standing Committee is reported is empowered monitoring the points and proposals’ implementation.
