Yerevan Municipality continues monitoring quality of transport services
Yerevan Municipality continues monitoring the quality of public transport services, Head of the Municipality’s Transport Department Henrik Navasardian said during a working consultation today.
The press service of the Municipality said that as a result of the monitoring 26 reports about making stops in banned places were made, 8 reports about smoking of drivers, and 4 reports about unsatisfactory appearance of vehicles.
In this connection Yerevan Mayor Taron Margarian gave instructions to strictly control the fulfillment by economic entities of their obligations to ensure a high quality of public transport services.
“We should be more consistent in ensuring a high level of services, particularly, ensuring the operation of transport according to schedule and the necessary number of vehicles at morning and evening hours. It is necessary to rule out transportation of more people in a minibus than is allowed. Besides, we will soon discuss the possibility of introducing a pilot program of a unified ticket in transport within a community,” the mayor stated.
