P. Hayrikian wouldn’t object to Sedrakian’s release even tomorrow
‘The investigatory body didn’t investigate efficiently the attempted murder case. Investigators should have determined where the man, who is believed to have ordered the attempted murder, get $3 million within a year, where an unemployed man - whose car is more expensive than Hayrikian’s - got such a sum,” ex-presidential candidate, leader of AIM Party Paruyr Hayrikian – who was shot and wounded in January 2013 - said at the meeting with reporters today, when commenting on yesterday’s court ruling. He reiterated that he cares very little about that court ruling.
Let us remind you that in connection with the Paruyr Hayrikian’s attempted murder case, yesterday the court sentenced Vardan Sedrakian to 14 years in prison, Khachatur Poghosian to 14 years, and Samvel Harutyunian to 12 years in prison.
As regards the statement made by Vardan Sedrakian’s lawyer Alexander Sirunian to the effect that he will appeal to the European Court of Human Rights against the court decision, Paruyr Hayrikian said he will welcome any step aimed at protecting the three convicted men.
‘If they are released tomorrow, I will not object to that. Streets are full of such people,” Hayrikian noted in conclusion.
