G. Sahakian explains reason for Republicans’ nonparticipation in session
Representative of the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) Galust Sahakian said their faction took a decision not to participate the parliament’s special session on the issue of the compulsory accumulative pension system’s introduction as it became known that the session’s initiators want to make changes in the draft law’s contents.
“The draft has been discussed for ten years. When we saw that discussions on the law’s content are planned, we took such a decision,’ Sahakian said.
“We don’t avoid participation. But there is no necessity to hold discussion of the content,” he noted.
The Armenian parliament’s special session to discuss the postponement of compulsory accumulative pension system’s introduction until 2015 did not take place today because the faction of the ruling HHK refused to attend the session.
