Melkumyan: No one can use language of pressure with BHK

The new government program is an interim one and based on it, the cabinet of ministers will take more serious steps later, the deputy of Prosperous Armenia (BHK) parliamentary faction Mikeal Melkumyan told journalists today.

BHK faction deputies’ non-participation in the parliamentary vote on the government program is not a political boycott. “We will not hinder measures aimed at reducing emigration, improving the people’s well-being and solving the problems, but time will show what developments will take place,” the deputy said.

He stressed the importance of political will that the government in the person of the prime minister and the ministers should display to deal with domestic political problems.

When asked if pressure was put on them to vote in favor of the government program, Malkumyan replied that no one has ever used a language of pressure or demands with Prosperous Armenia Party, nor can anyone do it.

“BHK is a well-established and united political structure and we have our political interests aimed at establishing a successful state and statehood,” he stated.
 

According to him, each party has its position and approach which are alwsy taken into account as part of cooperation of the four non-coalition factions.
